Sheryl Jacobs

Senior Vice President, Development Operations

Sheryl oversees global clinical operations, portfolio operations, development data science, biometry and medical writing across Parabilis’s pipeline of Helicon peptide therapeutics. She has more than 30 years of experience in both the biotech and pharmaceutical industries, including executive leadership roles at Amgen, Pfizer, Pharmacia and Searle. Most recently, she was the Vice President of Global Development Operations at Amgen where she led a team of approximately 6,200 staff across all therapeutic areas and phases of development. Under Sheryl’s leadership, the team doubled in size and expanded into new geographies in the Middle East and Asia. Throughout her career, she developed deep data management experience, including implementing AI and machine learning approaches to the operational delivery of clinical trials. She also represented the Development function in due diligence activities and served as the integration leader across the Development organization.

Sheryl has significant experience in outsourcing models, including functional service provider and full service outsourcing approaches as well as strategies around offshore capabilities. Over the course of her career, she has supported the successful filing and approval of over 130 life-changing medicines.
